Im Großen und im Kleinen möchten wir unseren Beitrag leisten, um unserer Natur und den Menschen, mit denen wir zu tun haben, mit Umsicht zu begegnen. Vieles haben wir bereits in unseren Alltag integriert, stecken aber trotzdem regelmäßig die Köpfe zusammen und machen uns über neue Wege und Lösungen Gedanken.
Organic eggs
Our organic eggs are delivered weekly from Eier Seidel from Ellerbeck, northwest of Hamburg.
Sausage specialties
Metzgers Manufaktur from Hamburg-Eppendorf attaches great importance to the sustainable and species-appropriate rearing of animals. We get our cold cuts from Metzgers.
Organic cheese
We pick up the fine selection of organic cheese for breakfast directly from the Hamburger Käselager (HKL).
Organic fish
The Hagenah fish retailer has been supplying Hamburg with fresh fish since 1892. All fish products in St. Annen are also from Hagenah.
Organic milk
We get our fresh milk directly from Milchhof-Reitbrook in Hamburg.
Bio-Filterkaffee
Our filter coffee comes from the Hamburg-based organic-certified coffee roaster “Torrefaktum”.
Espresso
Our espresso beans come from Benvenuto in Hamburg.
St. Annen filter water
At the Hotel St. Annen there is filtered tap water for our guests. Depending on your taste, silent or loud. Of course free of charge. Hamburg's tap water is known for its highest quality and thanks to our filter system we ensure a fresh taste.
Light bulbs
All light sources in the Hotel St. Annen have been converted over the years to energy-saving LED bulbs. We are also in the process of installing motion detectors wherever it makes sense.
air conditioner
We are the first hotel in Germany to introduce the use of the refrigerant r-32 for the air conditioning systems. According to Daikin, r-32 is the most energy efficient refrigerant on the market with the lowest GWP (Global Warming Potential)
Coffee capsules
Our coffee capsules from Cup Verde come from just around the corner in the Schanzenviertel. Locally produced, fair trade, and 100% compostable – for mindful coffee enjoyment right in your hotel room.

E-charging stations
Since October 2020, we have been operating 2 calibrated twin charging stations from ABL in our underground car park for our hotel guests. We provide at least 11 kw each at the 4 charging points. Of course powered by 100% green electricity.
Recycling
Everywhere at Hotel St. Annen, waste is meticulously separated and responsibly sent to the respective recycling stations.
Bike rental
Explore Hamburg without CO2 emissions? Go on foot or by bike! We rent bicycles for our guests for EUR 14 per day.
Avoid plastic
Where possible, we avoid packaging, single-use plastic and other plastic products. Our goal is to be completely plastic-free by 2024.
Hamburg originals
We at the Hotel St. Annen support various social institutions and are actively involved in projects in Hamburg with and through the Hamburg Originals Association.
Hospice
In addition to other projects, we also support the Hamburg Leuchtfeuer Hospice with overnight stays for relatives who need accommodation in Hamburg.
Hotel St. Annen Family
Our employees are the focus of everything we do. We firmly believe that a good, healthy and happy atmosphere in the team is also passed on to our guests. Every employee is allowed to develop freely, contribute ideas and contribute to the future of the hotel. As a thank you, we support our employees in many areas, with various campaigns and benefits. The 100% subsidy for the Germany ticket is a current example.
